Favorite Things

It is almost the time of year when Christmas songs start playing in stores and on the radio. I can't help but start to feel a little cheery inside. I love (almost) everything about Christmas time. The one exception is snow...if it could only be here for Christmas Eve and Day, then I would be happy, but for some reason the snow usually sticks around until June. But right now, there are still some beautiful fall colors around...

In the spirit of the nearing holiday season I have a list of some of my favorite things! Some I have just recently discovered while others have been favorites all my life. Enjoy :)

A gift that keeps giving....

Last weekend my best friends Molly and Wayne came into town. (Wayne, since you married Molly, you are now my best friend-in-law). The first night I got to see them we spent some time watching all of the funny you tube videos we could think of! Some of them weren't even that funny, but Michelle, Molly's mom, would laugh so hard, that you couldn't help but laugh with her! It was so nice to just be around Molly, she is truly amazing!

So I got to show Molly and Wayne my apartment and the area I live in, went to Gonzaga to buy a GU car sticker and went to Rancho Viejo. While we were there Wayne got up to tell them that it was my birthday, so they came over and sang with the big sombrero. It was so sweet and I was completely surprised! I am so lucky to have them as my best friends!

They also got me a gift card to pottery barn and a BEAUTIFUL purple scarf. I thought it was brown, but then realized it was PURPLE! Super cool!

After a few days a wearing it, I realized that this scarf was not just any scarf, I could wear it in so many different ways!

(there we're more... but I don't want to seem narcissistic, haha)

Thank you Molly and Wayne for the awesome birthday! You really made it special! I will show you what I get with my giftcard! I love you guys!

Reality Check

I am grateful for many MANY things in my life. I have actually been writing a gratitude list everyday for the past few weeks now, and I feel like my good karma should be building up.... but it obviously is not. Some thing that I am very un-grateful for is the neighbor who lives below me. I'm really not going to list all of the things that I really think about this situation because I don't want to let the whole world know I swear like a sailor. But I will tell you this:
                        1. He is an irresponsible, old, alcoholic that has no sense of right and wrong
                        2. Although he has been living here for three years and been an annoyance to everyone in this complex, he decides to blame all of his problems on me.
                      3. What kind of MAN thinks it is EVER reasonable to confront a girl with vulgar, crude language in some way of trying to scare her.

Sometimes I just don't get it... please, instead of blaming me for your problems look at this situation as a new starting point in your life. Take this oppourtunity to get off your ass, find a real job, and get yourself into AA. My advise is only to help, but I can tell you right now, you will always be a douche-bag loser.
