Weekend Rundown

Friday I packed my bags and drove to Seattle for some much needed quality time with my brother. We spent the weekend shopping, eating good food and enjoying each others' company. It was so great that I didn't have to work, it is rare that I ever get a weekend off. Busy season has just begun in the restaurant biz.

A Year Of Sabrina

This year has brought so many amazing things! It's funny to look back at some of the posts from a year ago this time and realize how much my blog has grown from then! I really can't thank you guys enough for all of your support and loyalty! Big time blog love!

I didn't blog on my birthday last year so this post was really the start of my new found love for blogging/ vlogging.

Went to Cali for the 4th of July

Made some wonderfriends through my blog and actually got to meet them!

I was blessed a a new nephew and niece.

My blog has almost triple the amount of readers as it did last year! I am SO thankful for all of my readers and all of the great people I have met through this incredible year!

I can't wait to show you all of the exciting things I have been working on lately!

I'm heading off to Seattle today to go visit my brother and spend some time in the Emerald City! See you Monday, Loves! And thanks a million for the birthday wishes!

Hello! If this is your first time on my blog, please don't be frieghtened. I do embarrassing things ALL the time. This is probably low on the embarrassing scale, comparatively.



Obviously, I have white girl swagger. Ohh I just look like a drunk white girl. Either way, I definitely broke a sweat.

Ginger Cat

First things first. How cute is this squirrel? Secondly.... Look at that dude reading a book with a cat next to him!

I actually only wanted a picture of that, but didn't want to be a dick, so the squirrel was a cop out/ bonus. 

Murphy was the cat's name, in case you were wondering. Murphy the ginger.

Long weekend

Monday was Founder's Day at Gonzaga. And I celebrated in the most appropriate way:

 by drinking an entire bottle of wine and making pasta. #FattyPatty

Here are a few pictures from the events of the weekend. And by a few... I mean a shit ton.

I ran to a beautiful park. I ate healthy food. Then I had a martini with Bacon.... well I had a sip. it wasn't awesome, unfortunately.

Spokane has the most beautiful Autumns, by the way... I dare you to send me a more beautiful picture :)

Then I worked and met up with some friends at a martini bar.

The Sapphire Lounge. I just don't think I will ever go back. Which is unfortunate. The ambiance, great. The drinks, great. The TIME. Holy you-know-what. We waited *no joke* nineteen minutes for the mixologist to create 1 drink. That's just not practical. When I want a drink I want it now. Patience just isn't my strong suit. (Although that's what my name means in Arabic.)

Because I was so impatient we headed to the next nearest bar. Baby Bar.

It's tiny and awesome and Ben was drunk and turned into a photographer. It was fantastic. 

I promise we weren't in the Red Light District, although it was just as dirrrty. hmmm
Gotta Love Spokane.

But let's face it. I wake up looking like a freakin monster.

By mid morning I have magically transformed into a clothed and caffeinated girl with a sense of humor and who speaks in words instead of grunts. 

I'm telling you it's like a freakin fairy tale. 

To finish this fable, my prince takes me away to blogland where he proceeds to read my favorite blogs to me while giving me a backrub and a foot massage at the same time. Yeah my prince has 10 arms, be jealous.  

I write my own story, a-thank you. 

And this was the weekend

This is what my weekend looked like. I had Sunday off which is SO rare! I was going to go to that Zee Avi show, but instead Brooke and I decided to get Shellac'd! It was pretty fun. We were in need of some TLC and that is exactly what we got. (Everything but the Red Light Special)

Please tell me you remember that song!

Have you ever heard of Shellac? It's supposed to last 2-3 weeks and doesn't chip! The salon we went to didn't have that many colors.. but I'm pretty happy with the deep red (I guess I'll have to be for at least 2 weeks!)

Now it's back to real life.. although all of my monday classes got cancelled!! 3 day weekend! I know, be jealous. Kidding of course. I have a LOT of things to do. It makes my head spin.

Oh Memories

I love capturing memories. Let me tell you why.

First of all I have the worst memory in the world. It's a fact, I think I'm in the Guinness Book. My memory works for random facts, movie lines and song lyrics. That's about it. So pictures/ video really bring me joy in the sense they remind me of what actually happened. Case in point: I forgot ALLL about this conversation!

Secondly I love looking back and remembering how dorky me and my friends were/are. That will never get old.

And lastly, I love seeing joy and happiness in others! It's such a great feeling when you look at a person, a couple or a group of people and know in that moment they are truly experiencing happiness. Maybe that happiness fades but that picture is a constant reminder. I love it. I do I do.

I'm off to send out a package to my dear friend and bride to be, Elise!

Golden Child

Sometimes a girl just wants to feel gangtsa. And today was one of those days. As Autumn quickly creeps in, it is becoming more and more necessary to grab a jacket on my way out the door. Usually I don't put much thought into it as I grab my hoodie or a casual blazer. But today. Today. I felt like being gangsta. So yeah, I busted out my L.A.M.B. bomber jacket and rocked it with my new heels. 

Oh... and want to know one of my secrets when I'm out on photo shoots? I always have a theme song to go along with my outfits. Not just the outfit, but the whole moooood I'm trying to port
ray. I learned it on America's Next Top Model, so it must be cool.
