This weekend was filled with sunshine, volleyball, friends and family. We had a few perfect days for riding my bike and enjoying the sunshine before I had to work.
My friend Phil had a going away party on Friday night.
It was so good to see that boy before he ships out!
Tequila, fireball and pint glasses of vodka made for one hell-of-a-night.
Plus I made a new friend... Kris Crocker
You should follow her if you're interested in Spokane weather :)

Sometimes life just calls for adventure. Something out of the ordinary and unexpected.
The only answer you should have in your mind is:
YES. I'm IN.
One of my most favorite memories EVER was a little road trip that I took with a friend for her birthday.
We went to see Hairspray and didn't get out of the movie until about midnight.
On our drive back home, we decided that we were going to drive to Seattle that night!
So at about 2 am we hit the road, loaded with redbull and the excitement of adventure at our fingertips.

Highlights of the trip:
We watched the sunrise.
We got to catch fish at the market.
I held a snake.
Her car overheated in the 85 degree weather while stuck in traffic!

Sometimes when an idea sounds crazy... you just need to be crazy enough to say yes. I was in a yes state of mind this weekend. And it was SO worth it.

Pictures from that little road trip (I was so young!)

I had the BIGGEST crush on that guy on the left. ohhhhh boy.

It's been damn near a month since I visited my best friend, Molly
Why I haven't posted pictures?
I wish I had an answer.

I had such an amazing time while I was in Jacksonville!
We went to the beach, ate some amazing food (Most of which Molly made), Went shopping and took a bunch of pictures!

The weather was perfect! (The first day, not so much) but the rest of the week was beautiful!
I just loved that I got to spend 8 days with my best friend, husband and amazing baby Samuel.
Although, he's not really a baby anymore.
He walks and talks... it freaks me out.
he's awesome.
What freaks me out the most is Molly. She is probably the last one of my friends I would have expected to get married and have a child right away.
But seeing her with Sam. It's amazing.
She is the best mom.
She is so loving and caring and selfless.
I kind of want to cry just thinking about her.

Her and Wayne are an awesome pair.
I'm very lucky they wanted to share their house with me for 8 days.

Here are a few pictures of the first few days:

We went on a drive through this beautiful neighborhood and dreamed about all of the mansions.
There was also a wedding going on that I wanted to crash...but Molly said no.
Her wedding crashing days are behind her.

Weekend Rundown

After a long weekend of driving, sunshine and eating everything in sight I thought it would only make sense if I started frequenting the gym more often.
Unfortunately, I like food a little too much...
 So to balance that out....
I will run...
 or do PiYo...
 or something.

I went to Seattle for my brother. He planned to propose to his girlfriend! It was probably the sweetest thing EVER. I'll show you pictures later this week. Seriously ADORABLE. I love my family!

Photobucket

Seattle was AMAZING this weekend! I spent time with my family, great friends and beautiful weather!  I might have done shopping... and maybe I bought a 2 dollar apple. Why? I'm not exactly sure... but it was awesome!

Here is a video of these amazing kids playing Adele. They were fantastic! I heard them while I was eating a crepe and I just had to go see what was going on! Enjoy.

The Gum Wall in Seattle. I never realized just how disgusting it actually is!

What did you do with your weekend? I miss ya'll!

Oh and if you have a chance you should email my friend Rissy! It's a tough day for her.
Tell her something nice. I would love you forever if you did!

Look Away.

Why do fashion bloggers always look away from the camera?

That's a question I've been asked by many friends. The only answer I have is...
"I'm not a fashion blogger... I don't know."

I when I describe my blog I say,"It's a life and style blog."

I enjoy clothes and trends and fashion, certainly. But to consider myself a fashion blogger....
That's big dreamin'

Honestly... I was making really awkward faces in all of these pictures.
Trust me. I'm doing you a favor by not looking at the camera.

Oh the joys of Shellac.

I'm making a comeback. I promise. no more apologies for being late or running behind.
That's a guarantee.

The words for this post didn't come easy, in fact.. it was really difficult.
I read, researched and asked questions because I wanted to deliver a message that was not only heart felt, but accurate.

Yes, it's time to get serious on this here blog.

My dear friend Christian Trent recently asked if I had checked out his apparel line, Jeremiah Nine.
Tapping into my obsession for clothes, of course, I was hooked.

First of all, let me just say this. Their clothing is made to fit. It's like every thread was weaved with the thought of your own shape in mind. And the fabric. Oh! It reminds me of my favorite tee that I've washed at least 600 times. It's that good. Soft, comfortable, and attractive. That's my kind of clothes... and it should be yours, too!

Not only is his apparel line well made, comfortable and fits in with my personal style, but it also stands for something much deeper.

Jeremiah Nine "is a response of compassion in action to the cry of women and children caught in the systematic lifestyle of slavery and exploitation."

So, what does this all mean? Human Trafficking. Women and children all around the world are taken away from their families and forced into a life of exploitation. Young girls and women are traded and sold for money, being forced to give their bodies to complete strangers. The shame and humiliation that comes with these acts are one thing, but the physical harm and health dangers must not be overlooked.

Most victims suffer from malnutrition and other health issues such as HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. (Via)

Here's where you can help:

Jeremiah Nine donates the money raised from the sales of their apparel to organizations such as Exodus Cry (A prayer movement to end human trafficking).

Each shirt sold helps women and children gain a voice and a stance against the sale of their bodies. To ensure that no women has to feel pain, shame and exploitation when it comes to intimacy.

"When you buy a shirt, you are buying freedom. Pretty simple, pretty profound"

Please Support this cause and my awesome friend! People helping people, I dig it.

Jeremiah Nine is currently having a 'pre-sale' on their love new items! Please check them out and if you like something use this code:
